Individual Therapy (Psychotherapy)

It is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy treat mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral issues.

I am a Psychologist with over 12 years of experience working with adults in the treatment of anxiety disorders, low mood/depression, work related burn out, stress, anger issues as well as other challenges like self esteem issues, “self-sabotaging” behaviours, negative thinking patterns, major life transitions, finding life purpose and meaning, work or communication difficulties.

I use evidence-based treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based treatment and Solution-focused Brief therapy. I also have strong interest in Existential therapy and Jungian analysis.

What makes therapy effective? Research shows that the most significant factor in a successful outcome is the relationship with the therapist. That might be described as the experience of “feeling felt.” It matters even more than the therapist’s training, the kind of therapy they do, or what kind of problem the person has.

I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where your experience will be heard and you will leave having felt supported, validated and more at ease. You will learn some new tools and skills to raise your consciousness and awareness. So by the end of your therapy you are able to embrace the risk of being all that you are and find enjoyment in love, work, relationships and play.

I specialize in treating a wide range of issues:

Self-Esteem Issues
⇒ fear of situations in which you may be judged
⇒ superiority and inferiority complex, low self-esteem
⇒ feeling worthless or incompetent, self-doubt and shame
⇒ procrastination and “self-sabotaging” behaviours

Relationship issues
⇒ conflicts and lack of understanding with people
⇒ loneliness, avoiding social interactions with others
⇒ lack of social skills, trust issues
⇒ marital problems, divorce

Depressive and anxiety disorder
⇒ feeling like you're living someone else's life
⇒ the loss of meaning in life, no life goals
⇒ fears, anxiety and panic attacks
⇒ apathy, lost of interest, feeling hopeless

Career difficulties and Existential crisis
⇒ problems with making decisions, feeling stuck
⇒ life transition issues and adaptability skills
⇒ impostor syndrome, "they are OK, but I'm not"
⇒ lacking a sense of purpose, feeling bored and lost
