If you overreact and keep or keep on overthinking people’s behaviours
If you overreact to other people’s words or behaviors, if you keep on overthinking them, then it’s not the others, it’s a story in your head, you’re dealing with. You are triggered by the meaning you added to someone’s words or actions. And this extra meaning seems so true because it’s related to your core beliefs about yourself.
It is the case if as a result of other people behaviors you start feeling:
⛔️ I’m no good
⛔️ I am a failure
⛔️ I don’t matter
⛔️ I am unlovable
⛔️ I don’t fit in
If it sounds familiar, you probably also noticed that you jump to a conclusion and don’t look for other explanations for why people might behave this way. Also, since you don’t question the negative thoughts you are triggered by, you take other people’s behaviors as a proof that these thoughts are true. That is how you reinforce them.
I will share more examples in my next video and give self-help tips.
